James J. McCarthy, Jr., Esq., CPA
Jim is a native of Harrisburg, and is a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School. Jim received his law degree from Widener University School of Law, Cum Laude, and his undergraduate degree from Juniata College and holds a Master’s Degree from Penn State University. Jim is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Jim has worked in estate administration and estate planning for over 25 years.
Jim is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States Tax Court, and the United States District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Jim is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the Widener University Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg, PA, where he teaches courses in taxation. Jim has also taught classes at Penn State University, the Harrisburg Area Community College, and Franklin & Marshall College.
Nicholas A. Fiaschetti, Esq.
Nick is a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania native who received his undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University in 2009. Following his graduation from Penn State, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served as a combat medic for 4 years and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2012. After completing his military service, he enrolled at Widener Commonwealth Law School where he earned his law degree in 2017.
Since joining McCarthy Tax Law, Nick has mainly practiced in the areas of estate planning and estate administration and has also successfully assisted clients with Pennsylvania administrative agency appeals, business transactions and civil litigation.
Nick is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania courts and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Nick is also a licensed notary public.
